Focusing on the 8 Functions
The Functional Skills Development Indicator

 Function Skills Development Indicator (FSDI)

The FSDI is an experimental psychological instrument designed to help an individual determine the level of development of each of his or her eight psychological functions.

The FSDI helps an individual assess his or her type development by getting the individual to self-assess his or her level of comfort with each of forty mental skills that our research has determined are associated with the eight psychological functions.  We then provide an extensive personalized Feedback Report that describes what each of the 8 functions looks like at four levels of development and supports the individual as he or she evaluates his or her type devleopment.

 Using the FSDI

Since the FSDI is a restricted instrument (in the same way the MBTI® is), individuals take the instrument and get their results under the supervision of an experienced type practitioner.  The procedure, therefore, is:

1.  An MBTI-qualified counselor or coach registers with us and purchases Administrations of the instrument.  The registered coach then sends the Coach Code and Administration Key to clients so Clients can take the FSDI.

2.  A Client uses the Coach Code and Administration Key to take the FSDI.

3.  The results are sent to the Coach to give to the Client during the feedback process.
