Jungian Functions In Action: An Experiential Workshop

The workshop is designed for type practitioners and trainers, human resource personnel and anyone who wants to learn how to incorporate their knowledge of the eight functions into their current coaching, training, and counseling.

This interactive workshop places an emphasis on experiential learning. It includes practical hands-on-work with approximately 40% small group work and 35% large group work.

You will receive an in-depth workshop notebook that contains:

1) descriptions of the eight functions,

2) information on how to deliver an introduction session using the eight function approach,

3) application models and exercises, and

4) data on how types react to change and conflict and what their communication style is like.

This workshop will explore the 16 Personality Types through the definitions and descriptions of the eight Jungian functions, the four perceiving functions: Se, Si, Ne, Ni, and the four judging functions Te, Ti, Fe, and Fi. This workshop will provide you with a fuller and more complete understanding of the motivations, behaviors and characteristics associated with each type.

Based on a person's type preferences, people make assumptions about how skillful people will be in using each of the eight functions. Sometimes these assumptions are correct but often they are not. Prior to the workshop you will be able to take a new instrument called the Functions Skill Development Indicator (FSDI). The FSDI gives people a chance to self assess how competent they think they are in use of each of the eight functions. During the workshop you will receive your personalized FSDI Feedback Report and be coached on how to use this instrument with the people you coach, counsel or train.

Do you sometimes wonder why there are communication problems when people attempt to talk to one another or provide directions to peer or subordinates? This workshop will provide you an 8 function methodology to uncover why miscommunication happens and how to improve the communication.

Conflict is a source of tension not only with others, but also within self. You will explore intrapersonal and interpersonal conflict which includes learning a methodology for dealing with these kinds of conflicts.

During the workshop you will be provided a process to use with helping people deal with individual transition and change and organizations deal with change, downsizing, and rightsizing. The methodology is effective with individuals, couples, teams and groups. Learn how using all 8 functions while going through a change process can facilitate keeping people with different preferences involved.
